Pelle van Esch plays the concertino 'Homage to Gershwin', which he composed himself in 2018. It premièred at Allessi Seminar Italy in that same year. There is also a version with Symphony Orchestra. Pelle performed this with Residentie Orchestra of The Hague (Kasteel Heeswijk, january 2020)

Every year the School for Young Talent in The Hague selects four students to participate in the Piz Amalia Festival . Pelle (age 18) was one of them and he got the chance to play 'Gesti' by the Dutch composer Daan Manneke at the tour in Switzerland and at the final concert in The Hague. it is a very demanding and expressive piece. At Hungrian Trombone Bootcamp 2019 Pelle (age 17) entered the Corpus International Trombone Competition, his very first international competition, with Rhapsody for Bass Trombone by Hidas Frigyes. He was one of six finalists (tenor and bass trombone) and the jury awarded him a special prize (Budapest, august 2019)

The name of composer of two tuba concertos and this Concert Allegro is Alexei, maybe it's a mistake in some editions. Because Pollard's CD has the same mistake. Of course congratulations with the performance!

Hallo, es ist geschrieben in 1951. Ich habe keine ahnung für wem. Aber der Komponist war einen Posaune spieler. Vielleicht hatte er das Stück für sich selbst geschrieben.
wacht pelle, ik ontmoet jou straks!!! ik speel zelf eerste trombone bij het njfo, daar mag jij gaan soleren, succes, word kikke!! vet man, tot 28/27 februari!!
goed gedaan hoor, zeker voor 13 jaar!! ik ben zelf 15 jaar en speel ook trombone, Ik heb dit stuk net een maand geleden uitgevoerd met het GFO (gelders fanfare orkest) met het jong solistenproject,( misschien ook wel wat voor jou;)) is een erg leuke ervaring, het is echt een goed orkest, met de beste dirigent die ik tot nu toe heb ontmoet, erik van der kolk. nadat ik de solo speelde kreeg ik te horen dat ik naar pierre volders mocht, ik mag dan straks gaan lessen bij hem, zin in:D. inderdaad, het 2e deel van jouw was het beste, alleen had ik de f in positie 4 gepakt, krijg je mooiere legato;). als je goed ben in de langzamere delen, zou ik eens de romance van weber proberen, deze is lekker melodisch. blijf zo doorgaan, en blijf oefenen, dat scheelt echt een hoop!
